Dan Foxx - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Graduated from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) with a degree in Nursing.  Postgraduate in Anesthesia was completed at the  University of Cinncinati - Medical Center School of Anesthesia for Nurses.

Dan's experience is extensive. After several years of practice he returned to University of Cinncinati School of Nurse Anesthesia as a clinical faculty member.  He later was one of 4 primary anesthesia providers for the Heart Institute of Spokane, Washington.

Most recently, he has been on the staff of Lee Memorial Healthpark - Medical Center, where he continued his interest not only in cardiothoracic anesthesia, but a variety of care and anesthestic challenges - to include endoscopy.

He is an active member of "Heart-to-Heart", a medical mission to the Dominican Republic, founded by local heart surgeon, Dr. Robert Pascatto, providing open heart surgery to the medically indigent of the country.  His next trip will be his 6th.

Ms. Thomas brings extensive clinical experience and public service. Joy was a captain in the Army Nursing Corps. Before anesthesia school she worked for 5 years in ICU.  She brings a further 8 years of hospital based experience as a nurse anesthetist (including Open Heart surgeries) before joining Gulf Coast Surgery Center.
